Point McKay is a small, entirely condominium-based community along the Bow River in northwest Calgary, built between 1977 and 1981 on the site of the former Cinema Park Drive-In. The community takes its name from homesteader Alfred Sidney McKay, an early settler in the area. Point McKay's riverside setting gives every building direct or near-direct access to the Bow River pathway system, making it one of the most walkable, low-maintenance inner-city options in the city.
