Banff Trail is a northwest inner-city Calgary community established in the 1950s and named for the historic route to Banff that once passed through the area. It sits directly across from the University of Calgary and includes lands adjoining the SAIT campus, giving the community a strong student and academic presence alongside its established family housing. The Banff Trail CTrain station, on the Red Line, has served the community since the line opened in the late 1980s, making it one of the most transit-connected inner-city neighbourhoods in the city.
