In 2026, I’m proud to mark 27 years as a REMAX agent and Calgary REALTOR®. Real estate isn’t just my career, it’s a family business built alongside my mother, Shirley Mikolajow. Between us, we bring nearly six decades of hands-on Calgary market experience to every client we work with.
While I help buyers and sellers across the city, and into Airdrie, Okotoks, and the surrounding area, my deepest roots are in SE Calgary’s lake and golf-course communities. Lake Bonavista and Willow Park are more than listings to me. I know the streets that hold their value, the renovations worth doing before you sell, the HOA and lake-access details that catch newcomers off guard, and the quiet advantages of living somewhere with a real community feel.
If you’re buying or selling in these neighbourhoods, you’re talking to someone who’s spent his life in them, not someone simply reading from a market report.
In 2024, I upgraded my professional designation to Associate Broker, reflecting the additional experience, education, and standard of accountability that goes beyond the standard REALTOR® licence. I’ve also taken additional training focused specifically on protecting and representing buyers’ interests. Together, these mean that when you work with me, whether buying or selling, you’re getting a higher level of expertise built around you, not just the transaction.
Outside of sales, giving back to the community that’s given me my career has always mattered to me. I’m honoured to have received the CREB® Honourary Lifetime Award in 2026 and the CREB® Volunteer of the Year (Marilyn Jones Memorial) Award in 2018, recognition I don’t take lightly.
I served as President of the Calgary Real Estate Board Charitable Foundation after being elected by my fellow REALTORS® in 2012. Since 1987, the Foundation has directed millions of dollars toward non-profits across our communities, and being part of that work has shaped how I think about this profession. It’s not just about closing deals. It’s about the city we’re all building together. I’m a regular participant in CREB®’s various volunteer opportunities, including REALTORS Care® Day and Habitat for Humanity, and I enjoy volunteering at my kids’ schools.
At the end of the day, my job is to save you time, money, and stress, and to make sure you feel genuinely looked after, whether you’re buying your first condo or selling the family home in Lake Bonavista.
