Calgary Real Estate Board CREB Statistics for January 2012

Its interesting to note that starting next month, the Calgary Real Estate Board will change the way it presents its statistics with the new MLS® Home Price Index (HPI). The MLS® Home Price Index will be able to more accurately depict the real estate market than average & median pricing and will be the most current and detailed gauge for Calgary home and condo prices.

Calgary, February 1, 2012 – Home sales in the City of Calgary are off to a slow start as buyers show continuing caution, according to figures released today by CREB®.

The Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) released sales statistics for November 2011 today. Sales in 2011 have been stronger than last year - an 8% rise in home sales and condos up 5% over the same time in 2010.
