Opened in June 2019, the Bonavista Downs Community Disc Golf Course is Calgary's newest "9 holes, 9 baskets" disc golf course. This course is located on Lake Huron Crescent SE at the Bow Bottom Baseball Fields in Bonavista Downs at the intersections of Anderson Trail, Deerfoot Trail and Bow Bottom Trail.

Bonavista's is a free walk-on course and you're able to use your Frisbee or Ultimate Frisbee but disc golf is generally played with a set of discs which, like golf clubs, all have a different purpose. At a minimum, you'd want to have a driver, a mid-range, and a putter (you likely won't lose track of your discs at this smaller course but most players carry extras of each disc).
