I'm excited to announce that I am running for election to the Calgary Real Estate Board Charitable Foundationjeff_mikolajowhs_2011_704 Board of Governors!

The election runs from November 9 to the end of the month and is open to votes from all CREB members.

I've included my bio:

As a Governor of the Charitable Foundation, my main objective will be to enhance the awareness and visibility of the Charitable Foundation to both the members of the Calgary Real Estate Board and, just as importantly, the general population of Calgary.

Since 2003, I have been a member of the Calgary Real Estate Board as a fulltime Realtor with RE/MAX First . I am currently a member of the CREB Technology Task Force and in my second year with the Forecast Conference and Tradeshow Task Force.

This year, I had the privilege of being invited to be a member of the Charitable Foundation’s Funds Allocation Task Force, the purpose of which is to identify and recommend funding opportunities that are aligned with the Foundation’s values, mission and strategic plan. This unique view of the Charitable Foundation was inspiring – I’m extremely proud of the donations that we are able to make in the community. I am also aware that there are many aspects of the Foundation that are not well known to CREB members.

Our members do a lot of volunteer work but not everything falls into the category of “shelter related”. I am interested in exploring ways that charities close to the hearts of Calgary Realtors could become associated with the Charitable Foundation.

I am a proud supporter of both the Children’s Miracle Network and Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s Yard Sale For the Cure.

I would be honoured to represent you on the Board of Governors for the Charitable Foundation and appreciate your vote!
