Silverado South Calgary MLS® Listings
Houses, Condos and Real Estate For Sale by Calgary REALTORS®.
Silverado is a southwest Calgary community bounded by Stoney Trail to the north, Spruce Meadows to the west, Sheriff King Street to the east, and 194 Avenue SW to the south. Construction began in 2005, making it one of the newer established neighbourhoods in south Calgary, and it grew quickly through the following decade with single-family homes, townhomes, and a smaller share of condominiums. Its shared boundary with Spruce Meadows, the internationally known equestrian and show jumping venue, is one of its defining features, and when the community was planned, a wetlands buffer was set aside between the residential area and the equestrian grounds, approved by City Council in 2004. Residents are close to Shawnessy's retail area and the Somerset-Bridlewood CTrain station, both just north along Macleod Trail, with Stoney Trail providing quick access across the city. Silverado's population climbed steadily as new phases were completed, giving it a younger, family-oriented character.
