Riverbend SE Calgary MLS® Listings

Houses, Condos and Real Estate For Sale by Calgary REALTORS®.

Riverbend is a southeast Calgary community built out starting in 1980, with its first show homes opening in 1981 along Riverbend Gate and Rivervalley Drive. It's bounded by Glenmore Trail to the north, 24 Street SE to the east and Deerfoot Trail to the west, and much of the community sits on the escarpment above a bend in the Bow River. That river geography gives Riverbend its signature amenity, 135-hectare Carburn Park, which opened in 1986 with two ponds and pathways that have made it a favourite for birdwatchers spotting bald eagles and other waterfowl. Families can choose Riverbend School, a public K-6 that opened in 1996 as Canada's first year-round multitrack elementary school, or Holy Angels, the Catholic K-6 option. Housing is overwhelmingly single-family, with very little condo or rental stock. There's no LRT station in Riverbend, but Deerfoot and Glenmore Trail give quick road access, and the community borders the Quarry Park office and retail district.
