Ricardo Ranch SE Calgary MLS® Listings

Houses, Condos and Real Estate For Sale by Calgary REALTORS®.

Ricardo Ranch is one of Calgary's newest southeast communities, a 1,570-acre area structure plan approved by City Council in the fall of 2019 and bounded by Seton and Rangeview to the north, Deerfoot Trail to the west, the Bow River to the south and 88 Street SE to the east. Three landowners are developing separate sections under their own outline plans, with Genesis Land Development's Logan Landing neighbourhood, approved in 2023, leading the way with about 2,000 homes aimed at middle-class families. Roughly a third of the land is being kept as environmental reserve, with an 800-metre buffer protecting an existing great blue heron rookery along the river. The first streets, including Ricardo Ranch Avenue SE, now have homes built in 2025 and 2026, so early residents are just moving in. Buyers here should expect an active construction zone for years to come as later phases from Brookfield Residential and Jayman Homes get underway.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ricardo Ranch

Is Ricardo Ranch built out yet?

No, it's just getting started. The Area Structure Plan was approved in 2019, and the first neighbourhood, Logan Landing by Genesis Land Development, only got its outline plan approved in 2023. Homes on streets like Ricardo Ranch Avenue SE were built in 2025 and 2026, so it's still an active construction zone.

Who is developing Ricardo Ranch?

Three landowners are involved: Genesis Land Development is building the Logan Landing neighbourhood, while Brookfield Residential and Jayman Homes are each pursuing separate sections under their own outline plans.

Are there environmental protections in Ricardo Ranch?

Yes. About a third of the 1,570-acre area is being kept as environmental reserve, and there's an 800-metre buffer protecting a great blue heron rookery near the Bow River. The development also sits outside the river's 200-year flood plain.
