Bonavista Downs South Calgary MLS® Listings

Houses, Condos and Real Estate For Sale by Calgary REALTORS®.

Bonavista Downs is a small southeast Calgary community established in 1973 and originally registered under the name Lake Bonavista Downs. Despite the similar name, it is officially a distinct community from neighbouring Lake Bonavista, which sits uphill and to the west; Bonavista Downs occupies a lower depression bounded by Anderson Road to the north, natural hillside to the west and south, and Bow Bottom Trail to the east. The neighbourhood was fully built out by 1982 and consists primarily of 1970s-era bungalows on generous lots. At under a square kilometre, it is one of Calgary's smaller and quieter communities, with street names drawn from the Great Lakes and other major lakes around the world. Bonavista Downs borders Maple Ridge to the north and Diamond Cove and Queensland to the east. Unlike its namesake neighbour, it does not include the private lake or lake-access amenity that Lake Bonavista is known for.
