Glamorgan West Calgary MLS® Listings
Houses, Condos and Real Estate For Sale by Calgary REALTORS®.
Glamorgan is a southwest Calgary community built mainly between 1956 and 1959 on land that was previously farmland, including the Glamorgan Dairy Farm the neighbourhood is named after. The original section runs from 37th Street to 45th Street between Richmond Road and Glenmore Trail, with the later Glamorgan Heights phase extending west to 50th Street through the 1970s and into the 1980s. Early homes were modest three-bedroom bungalows built for working families, while streets such as Gloucester Crescent and Gloucester Drive broke from the standard grid with curved layouts and larger homes. The community is served by Glamorgan Elementary, A.E. Cross Junior High, and nearby Viscount Bennett High School, along with several community parks and playgrounds. Sarcee Trail and Richmond Road provide direct routes downtown and toward the mountains. Mature trees, mountain views from higher lots, and easy highway access have made Glamorgan a consistently sought-after, established middle-class neighbourhood among southwest Calgary's mid-century communities.
